Image
A risk assessment is  the process of identifying what hazards exist, or may appear in the workplace, how they may cause harm and to take steps to minimise harm .  Risk assessments are very important as  they form an integral part of an occupational health and safety management plan . They help  too : Create awareness of hazards and risk. One risk in this  image  is the open fire. This is because the baby could fall into it.  The iron on the ironing board is a risk because if the ironing board gets knocked it could fall on the babies head.  The corners on the coffee table are a risk as the baby could hit its head. Another risk is the plug socket because if the baby put its metal in there it could die of electrocution. Also, another risk is the string on the ballon and blind because it could strangle itself.
